Chakra balance with Positivitea

Since my yoga teacher training I have actually become really fascinated with all things ayurveda and the energies in the body which is why I got quite excited when I came across the Positivitea brand on Natural Health Star! Not only am I a fan of natural health products but I’m also a massive tea lover so definitely had to try them!

What are Positiviteas?

Positiviteas are seven ayurvedic tea blends with go with each chakra. They are very specific blends and are using the power of herbs to help balance our energy centres.

Chakras are said to be wheels of energy or energy centres in the body and are aligned along the spine. As with everything else in yoga we want to make sure that they are balanced and open so wouldn’t it be great if we could achieve this by drinking a cup of herbal tea?

How do the chakras work?

The term chakra is used in yoga and ayurveda to describe the flow of energy in the body. The aim is to have the chakras open and balanced which will promote well-being, health and happiness!

The different functions of the main 7 chakras in the body are:

Root Chakra (red) – Grounding and security

Sacral Chakra (orange) – Relationships and emotions

Solar Plexus Chakra (yellow) – Energy and vitality

Heart Chakra (green) – Balance, love and connection

Throat Chakra (blue) – Communication and expression

Third Eye Chakra (indigo) – Intuition and understanding

Crown Chakra (violet) – Higher values and spiritual connection

How can we work with our chakras?

This is a big topic and you can read a huge amount of books about this topic… There are different mantras, yoga poses and breathing exercises that are suitable for each chakra. There are also different types of recommended diet that could help but first of all we need to dig deeper into some emotional or physical problems to find the true cause and then start working on the problem areas.

There are free tests available on the internet to determine which chakra might be out of balance and different recommendations on how to work with them. I’m not sure how reliable they are but it might give you an idea of where to start!

Positivitea use ayurvedic principles and have come up with 7 amaying blends of tea to balance the 7 main chakras and I was lucky enough to try all of them!
