Teacher Training

Last weekend was module 8 which was really inspirational as usual! We were introduced to Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion, Kirtan (kind of the yoga for the voice) and Mantras by Bhavana (Narayani and Mat Baker). I didn’t quite know what to expect in this workshop but it was truly wonderful and very emotional. It’s actually really difficult to explain but basically the combination of singing, connecting with the group and some chakra work made everyone cry! A lot… Not in a sad way but very liberating! I can highly recommend a good crying session with them!

We also had some great hot yoga sessions with our teacher Claire Weatherley, which were wonderfully challenging as usual! There is certainly still a lot of work to be done in the next 5 weeks with some essays, book reviews, revision and preparation of a 90min yoga class outstanding!!

Yogaberry

I’m continuing to teach a weekly yoga class at the Graham Spicer Institute in New Malden and really enjoy it! It’s great practice for me and it’s a lovely little yoga community now! I’m hoping to set up a few more classes once I’m fully registered but taking it slowly as Little Miss Maya and Baby Leo are obviously still my priority!

The Yogaberry trade mark has been confirmed which is great and it’s now an officially registered business which is a bit scary! I’m currently working on prices for classes, marketing and looking into an online booking system for the website so busy on that front too.

Blog

As for the Yogaberry blog, this has taken a bit of a backseat with everything going on, but I look forward to attending BritMums Live in June which will hopefully help me give it a little bit of a boost! In the meantime I’ve still got lots of yoga and family posts and reviews coming up – just need to find the time to write them!!

Family

We had a lovely Easter holiday in Germany and are now looking forward to out summer holiday in France! In between that we have the crazy month of May with lots of family coming over to visit and me going on another(!) yoga course and of course my teaching exam!

Little Miss Maya has been offered a Nursery place from September which is great news and we’re so pleased as it’s literally next door to us! I don’t think she will have any problems settling in and will love the new adventure!

Baby Leo, who is 15 months now so not really a baby anymore, is still not walking which is why I can still call him Baby Leo! Obviously he will always be my baby, even when he is 30 (oh dear, I never thought I would say something like that…) but I should really start calling him Toddler Leo soon! Anyway, he is extremely cute and loves giving hugs and kisses to everyone which means he has wrapped most women (and his Papa!) wrapped around his finger in a second!
