So here are some facts about Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
- it’s a natural carbohydrate found in the human body that cushions and lubricates skin (read more here)
- babies have a lot of HA and the amount decreases with age
- because of the above it has huge anti-ageing benefits
- HA is used for the natural renewal and repairing of the skin
I’m not a beauty product blogger so you won’t find that I will all of the sudden start reviewing lipsticks or give make-up tutorials (unless you want to look like a clown…) but I do like to look after my skin and I love natural products! Since having had children – and more with every spilled milk, soup or vomit that I have to mop up from the floor – I can see signs of ageing on my skin so of course I’m all up for trying anything that will make me look younger!
I’m currently using the serum in the mornings and evenings and it’s really quickly absorbed so doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy which is important to me. I have slightly oily skin so I can actually use it without any other moisturiser on top. As I’m usually in a rush (and generally lazy) I don’t currently wear much make up but you could definitely use it under your foundation.
It also contains antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Green Tea and Jojoba Oil and apparently has the capacity to sustain 1,000 times its weight in water! I have to say that my skin feels really smooth, nourished and generally plumper (I don’t expect to look 10 years younger quite yet)! I’m actually slightly addicted to how my skin feels after using it so I admit that I sometimes use the serum throughout the day which is definitely not necessary…Â
In the UK it retails at £29.99 which is completely justified I think (cheaper than a lot of other creams I bought in the past and then not used…) and as it comes in the dropper bottle and you only need a tiny bit, it will definitely last a long time!Â
It’s got a really lovely natural smell to it (must be the green tea and jojoba oil) and as it’s absorbed straight it doesn’t smell perfumy or artificial.Â

Dear Christine, I live in the South and was wondering if it was a problem exposing my facial skin to direct sunlight on the beach after applying the serum and if I could put sun tan lotion on top.
Thank you very much for your comment. Lucky you living in a sunny place!! The serum doesn’t have any SPF but you can use sun tan lotion on top. Christine
I have never heard of this before. I think the word ‘acid’ would scare me off at first, but your review has certainly made me think differentley. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
Does hyaluronic acid hydrate the skin or moisturize ? what are the differences in short if you want to say ?
