This weeks captured moment is a vintage one! It’s from summer 2003 so almost 13 years ago which is hard to believe!
My now husband and I were ridiculously young and in love and went on our first holiday together to Amsterdam. I won’t go into too much detail but let’s say we had a good time and we were enjoying life 🙂
We spent a few days together visiting the city, picnics in the park and doing lots of things that people do before they have children!
As we were working for Hilton Hotels back then we stayed at one of the Hiltons in Amsterdam with access to the Executive Lounge which we absolutely made the most of! I think we spent every minute it was open in there, sipping champagne and eating canapes!
We had little money and worries and definitely made the most out of the few perks we had in our low paid jobs in the hotel industry. We certainly drank and ate well!!
It’s funny to look back at it now 13 years later, married with two children, living in England…
I could have absolutely imagined all of this to happen at that time even though I wasn’t sure where we would eventually end up!
I think if someone had told my husband, however, that he would be eating porridge for breakfast and living in London he would have said NO WAY!!
