A day with Enchanted Wonders

Since I’ve been teaching my Family Yoga classes I’ve discovered that this is something that I want to do more of! I love working with kids. They inspire me so much and I’m learning an enormous amount from every class that I teach!

If you’re trying to teach anything to kids you know that they have an amazing energy and will constantly keep you on your toes! Teaching yoga to kids is no different and we are constantly looking for new inspiration, new ways to teach and introduce yoga to kids. Afterall the last thing you want your class to be is boring, right? That’s why decided to attend the Enchanted Wonders course and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

our very own creations during the class

We started with experiencing a kids yoga class, did a lot of mindfulness exercises, talked about breathing exercises, created our own classes and ended with a little bit of arts and crafts creating our very own gratitude jar! I loved that we were a small group of 8 and there was lots of time and space to ask questions.

I also loved that we covered so many aspects of yoga and that Ayala really encouraged us to be creative.

There is so much more to yoga then just postures and kids are so wonderfully open minded so why wouldn’t you take the opportunity to teach them about gratitude, and encourage them to express their creativity and feelings?!

Creating a gratitude net!

I really can’t wait to put into practice what I’ve learned today. It’s made me more confident in my teaching abilities. Just to know that what I know and what I can offer to the kids and families I teach is enough. It’s more than enough – it’s wonderful!

So if you’re a teacher trainee, if you just want to learn more about teaching yoga to kids – even if you have been teaching for a while – this is a brilliant workshop to attend. It’s only a day long which is of course not enough to give you a complete kids yoga training but enough to be inspired and open your eyes to a very intuitive way of teaching.

Thank you Ayala!
