My Captured Moment is the series for which I share a different photo of a special moment every week. A photo that is important to me and that I want to share along with the story behind it.
For this week I’ve chosen a photo which was taken by my husband in summer 2012 when Maya was just about three months old. She was my first baby, my little princess and my absolute everything!
There were the sleepless nights of course and breastfeeding wasn’t easy to begin with but overall she was such a content and lovely baby. This is naturally what I choose to remember… With just one child to focus on I had so much time (I did not see it that way at the time) and we spent our days meeting up with other new mums and babies, going to the park and just generally trying to do everything right!
I’m sure it’s completely nostalgic what I remember now but for me it was one of the best times of my life. I had never ever felt so full of love before and I had completely embraced motherhood.
I don’t know if you can truly capture love in a photo and of course I’m emotionally involved as I’m in it! I really hope that this picture will be as special to Maya one day as this one is to me.
It’s a reflection of my love for my daughter. A mother’s love.
So for this Mother’s Day just remember that no matter how much you love your mother, she loves you even more.
Love, love, love this shot! #mycapturedmoment
Thank you 🙂
Such a gorgeous picture! I couldn’t agree more with you – a mother’s love is so special! #MyCapturedMoment
A lovely captured moment and so very true! I’m sure it will be a picture that wished will treasure when she is older too xx
Ah that’s so true. I remember being given baby Lili to hold for the very first time and thinking ‘ah so this is what they mean by love at first sight’. This is such a beautiful shot of you and your girl. Thank you for linking up to #MyCapturedMoment xx
